    WAZALENDO SACCO PUTS A SMILE ON BOMBO MILITARY HOSPITAL PATIENTS

    Wazalendo Savings and Credit Cooperative Society visited the UPDF General Military Hospital Bombo patients to share and give them hope.

    Every end of it’s Financial Year, Wazalendo SACCO holds thanksgiving prayers to thank God for enabling them to complete the year and for the achievements registered.

    During the thanksgiving, offertory is collected and WSACCO adds a contribution that is used to procure items that are donated to a community identified by management to be supported. To that extent management identified Bombo Military Hospital to receive items procured with the collections for the year 2022.

    According to Maj Habak Joseph Mukasa the WSACCO Head Human Resource and Administration who presented the items on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer Col Joseph Freddy Onata, the donation is intended to appreciate and identify with WSACCO members who are the engine of WSACCO growth in terms of numbers and business .

    Maj Habak noted that the items worth Uganda shillings 4,000,000 have been donated to in patients at Bombo hospital under principle No 7 of Cooperatives “concern for the community.“
    “We identify with the people around us and this is the second time we are giving back to Bombo Military Hospital. In 2020 we expanded the maternity ward to accommodate more delivering mothers” Maj Habak said.

    Maj Dorothy Tapi the Administrator of Bombo Military Hospital appreciated Wazalendo SACCO leadership for the consideration and for going beyond just giving credit facilities but also thinking about the sensitive areas like health of the members .
    According Maj Tapi, Bombo Military Hospital is the largest Military Hospital in Uganda and accomadates between 220-280 patients both civilians and soldiers from all parts of Uganda who come for treatment.

    Maj Habak was accompanied by Ms Beth Kiiza the Head Internal Auditor, Mr Asiimwe Charles the marketing officer and Ms Katushabe grace Applications Support Officer.
    In attendence also was Maj Benard Arineitwe Kakiga Political commissar Bombo Military Hospital ,Maj Aloysius S Mugerwa WSACCO branch manager Bombo among other hospital staff .
